Thoughts

We would also like to show our appreciation for Harry Newington, whom we cannot speak highly enough, through Harry’s understanding of our thoughts and wishes created the day we so much wanted for Stephen.Thank you so much. Thank you to the Rev’d Christyan James who gave a lovely service on our behalf full of so much warmth, which was of course what Stephen was all about. Karen.Jack and Lucy.

We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone that came to Stephen’s service in celebration of his life, and to pay their respects. To Nathan,Bobby,Neil, and all of Stephen’s works family, we cannot thank you enough. To see everyone standing outside Brighton and Hove Bus Company, and feeling the amazing amount of love felt for the man that Stephen was, and for all the lives he touched, we felt so very proud. As one of Stephen’s friends at work had pointed out, people putting aside their own football teams, and wearing a West Ham shirt, would have given Stephen the last laugh. He would have been watching over us with a smile and a chuckle. We would also like to thank all those that have so far supported our three chosen charities with a donation in loving memory of Stephen. We love and miss him so very much. We will treasure him in our hearts forever. Karen.Jack and Lucy. xxxxxx

I first met Steve 38 years ago he was always warm, cheerful good humoured and kind. I saw him infrequently in the following years perhaps half a dozen times but when we met it was clear that throughout his struggles those attributes stayed with him and when we spoke it was like we had seen each other the day before.... He was a really lovely man.
